The Religious Studies major will:

1. Articulate the teachings and practices of Christianity and at least one other religious tradition
2. Apply the various interdisciplinary methods used by theologians and scholars of religion in the study of religion
3. Analyze and assess religion as a cultural phenomenon leading to engaged cultural critique
4. Make ethical decisions informed by reason, empathy, compassion, and self-awareness in order to lead socially just lives
